Albert Sonnenburg, 59, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at his home.
He is survived by his son, Errick Sonnenburg of Des Moines; daughter, Cathy Titus of Madrid; three grandchildren, Kim, Jeremy, and Jack; brothers, Darwin and Randy Sonnenburg of Des Moines; and special friends, Kathy and Hal Knight.
Al was employed at R & R Donnelly for 27 years with only being sick three days. He enjoyed riding his harley, fishing, and his dog, Sadie.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14, 2008 from 6 – 8 PM at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St in Des Moines.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Taylor House Hospice in honor of Al.

I have known Al since I was in grade school,but I knew him as Sonny Boy. I grew up living next door to him. I had a grade school crush on him. He was my idol. I was the only one he let get by with calling him Sonny Boy. He will be greatly missed. You have my deepest sympathy. May god guide you through these sad times.
