Jack Farnsley

Jack Farnsley, 87, passed away November 7, 2008 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston from complications of diabetes.
He was a veteran of WWII serving with the Navy/Marines until his honorable discharge. He retired after 34 years with John Deere. He was a member of Local 490 and a lifetime member of VFW Post 9662.
He leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Beverly; two sons; Kevin of Des Moines and Robert (Mary) of Phoenix, Arizona; three step-grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a sister, Nedra Florer of Clear Lake, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, three sisters and eldest son, Steven.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens with visitation one hour prior to service. Cremation will follow services, with burial at a later date.
Family request any memorials go to the Animal Rescue League in loving memory of Jack.
