Shirley Waters

Shirley Jean Waters, 79, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2008. She was born December 25, 1928 in Newton, Iowa. She graduated from Green Mountain Consolidated School in 1946. Shirley married Bill Waters on June 1, 1947 and had four children. She was employed for ten years at Iowa Des Moines National Bank. She enjoyed golf, bridge and reading. Shirley is survived by her sons: Mike (Yem-Ling) Waters, David (Sally) Waters and grandchildren, Travis, Tia and Anli. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Waters, and her sons, Danny and Mark Waters.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines, IA. Memorial contributions may be directed to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or Habitat for Humanity.
