Charles Delk

Charles Warren Delk Jr, 60, of West Des Moines, passed away on November 6th at Kavanaugh House on 56th Street, after courageously battling Multiple Sclerosis for 35 years. A memorial service will be held at West Des Moines United Methodist Church on Thursday, November 13th at 10:00 AM.
Charles was born on September 3, 1948 in Des Moines. He was the son of Ruth and Warren Delk. He graduated from North High School in 1966 and attended the University of Northern Iowa, receiving a BS in Political Science.
Chuck was a member of DeMolay, active in Boy Scouts, and enjoyed wrestling, baseball, history and photography. He owned and operated Delk’s Photography in West Des Moines.
He is survived by his wife Jackie, daughter Jennifer (Jason) Clark, grandson Brady, sister Janice Mertz and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or Hospice of Central Iowa.
