My first memory is 1976 (7) the years all blend together now. It was a disconnected time in my life and Judi and Jim made me feel so very welcome and accepted. Judi would notice what you liked or what made you comfortable and she would see that it was present. You always enjoyed a good laugh and had no patience for self-indulgence. I believe you are dancing and celebrating with your mom, Rob, Elizabeth, Marian, Alexander, and all of your friends and family. Happy Birthday Judi!

I always loved spending time at Aunt Judi and Uncle Jimmy's. Judi was always very intune to what I desired and was always up to do anything I wanted to do. Whenever I came to visit she always had plenty of my favorite chips and dip and Strawberry Sunkist! I will always remember Judi as being kind, thoughtful, and soft-hearted, but not afraid to "tell it like it is" if need be. Thanks for always doing so much for me Judi, even if I didn't always realize it at the time.
Love,
Alex

Jimmy, Scott and family--so sorry to hear of Judi's passing. She is someone I will no doubt never forget. From the christmas ornaments she would send my sister and I at christmas to hearing her voice every day when i would call the law office after getting home from school, I have lots of great memories of her. She will truly be missed.

We will think of Judi as loving life and always being cheerful and friendly.
"The breath of winter painted fragile stars on all the windows of my quiet house. And there I found your face, more fragile even than the season's art. A wonder to my eyes. How can it be that winter paints such secret things in white.. and .. silver sheen for those who cry alone at frosted windows?"

Jimmy, when I think of Judi I think of that smiling face that welcomed us into the offices of Coppola and Trout. She always had that smile and a wonderful laugh. She was a wonderful person! She will be missed!

Judi was always number ONE with me. In fact that was what she was called at the Office Judi no. 1. The fact that we also had Judiy 2 and Judy 3 was had nothing to do with it, as she was the number one secretary and trusted assistant to me for over twenty years. I enjoyed the argume discussions we had about politics and womens issues as well as whatever else was on her mind at the time. Around St. Patricks day she was referred to by me as The wee faire Miss Mulligan She was proud of her Irish heritage and also especially the Scottish ancestry she discovered and had the opportunity to visit in Scotland. I will miss preparing her birthday apple pies, and am very glad I was able to deliver the last one early for the November birthday she just missed this year.

My heart goes out to you Jimmy. I remember meeeting Judi our first day at Lincoln High School in the 7th Grade. We were always sitting next to each other because our last names both began with M, We became friends from the beginning then on to Nathan Weeks and back to Lincoln. Although I left Des Moines soon after High School, I have kept in touch over the past 50 years with my life long friend. Judi was always an inspiration and of course I loved her sense of humor. I am so happy that we were able to spend time together in September at our 50th Class Reunion. You know I am going to miss calling her on her birthday. I loved her and will miss talking with her but I will always hold her in my memories.

Without a doubt Judi was #1 for me. How priveleged I was to have her as a legal secretary for 20 years. She quickly turned from being only an employee to being a dear friend---as close as family. She will be dearly missed by me but forever in my memory. We have lost her way too soon......I am blessed to have had her touch my life the way she did--------Love and thoughts to Jimmy, Bud, Scott, Holly and her precious Lizzie -----------Carol

Jimmy and Scott - I don't know what to say. I know it was 8 years ago when Judi called me at my wedding saying she fell and her health seemed to go down the tubes since then. She went through alot. You went through alot. I just remember that wintry day in 82 and interviewing at the Law Firm. Getting stuck in the parking lot and Chris having to push me out and having Judi call me that same day to say I got the job. From being #1 and #2; divorces; marriages; deaths; babies and grandbabies. Millie's tenderloins to running upstairs like mice (elephants actually) to changing wording in legal documents to see how we could shock our attorneys, you could always count on looking at things on the "lighter" side. She was one of my best friends for almost 30 years. And I miss her.
