Sharon Warden

Sharon Warden, 57, of Des Moines passed away on November 4, 2008 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. A celebration of her life will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with cremation following services. The family will greet friends from 5-8 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home. Sharon had worked at Principal Financial in pension review for over 25 years. She was a member of the Lighthouse Community Church and was very active in many church activities. She enjoyed doing crafts and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Richard, her mother Elizabeth Duncan, her daughters Melissa (Brad) Cole, Cassandra (Christopher) Waltz and Angela Warden, her sister Diane (Steven) Ancell, her grandchildren Bethany, Chase, Cheyanne, Caleb and Connor as well as several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the Valley View Village Assisted Living Center in Des Moines where she was very active in fundraising.
