William Hutchinson

William “Bill” Hutchinson, 61, of Des Moines, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 30, 2006 at home. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Thursday, January 4, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M., Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Bill was born March 20, 1945 in Des Moines. He married Marilyn on May 4, 1991. Bill enjoyed fishing, cars, and talking on his CB to his friends, as he had been bed-ridden for the last nine years. Most of Bill’s friends know him as “Crusher.”
William is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn of Des Moines; his children, Bill (Tracy) Hutchinson of Pleasant Hill, Paula Hutchinson of Ankeny, and Bruce (Lori) Hutchinson of Norwalk; his step-children, Ron (Shan) Reed, Jr. of Pleasant Hill, Don (Jenni) Sparks of Missouri, and Cindy (Danny) Miller of Oelwein; his brothers, John “AJ” Hutchinson of Des Moines, Steve Hutchinson of Newton, and Russell (Julie) Hutchinson of Mediapolis, Iowa; his sisters, Pam (Kenny) Tharp of Missouri, and Mary Pollock of Des Moines; 24 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Irene and Paul Hutchinson.
