Joan Perry

Joan M. Phillips Perry, 69, passed away on October 27, 2008.
Joan was a very caring and loving person. Her greatest joys in life were her loving husband and best friend, Glenn; her son and grandchildren; and Sophie, her beloved Maltese dog. She had a special way of bonding with those she loved including her special daughter, Deb Phillips and close personal friend, Judy Woods. She will be truly missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
Family will receive family and friends at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2008 with a prayer service at 7 p.m. A private burial for immediate family will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery at a later date.
Joan is survived by her husband, Glenn Perry; mother, Frances Smith; son, Douglas (Jane) Phillips; two grandsons, Ryan Phillips and Kyle Phillips; special daughter, Deb Phillips; four step-children, Cinthia Renauld, Christy (Mark) Richardson, Martin (Lori) Perry and Melissa Perry; ten step grandchildren and two step great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her father, Elza Smith and her son, James “Tiger” Phillips.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to Animal Rescue League, Iowa Health Home Care or your favorite charity in loving memory of Joan.
