Gilbert Egger

Gilbert H. Egger, 71, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. A Memorial service will be held at 1pm Wednesday at First Federated Church, 4801 Franklin.
Gilbert was born August 9, 1937 in Adair County, Iowa. He served in the USAir Force. On July 17, 1958 he married Marjory Jagger.
Gilbert worked at many jobs during his lifetime, but most recently he worked in construction with his son. He was a member of First Federated Church and the Emmanuel Class. He loved to spend time with his family and his grandchildren. He was an avid musician and enjoyed playing the guitar. He loved being outside and working in his garden.
Gilbert is survived by his wife of fifty years, Marjory, his son, Matthew (Jennifer) Egger of Guthrie, OK., his daughter, Melissa (Chris) Furne of Clive, his grandchildren, Taylor, Reiley, Jackson, Grant and Wyatt, his brother, Frank Dahly of Aquilla, TX.
Memorial contributions are suggested to First Federated Church in his Gilbert’s loving memory.
