Service Details
Steven Rex Johnson, 55, passed away at his home Monday, October 27, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 30, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Steven was born December 6, 1952. He was a truck driver for Midstates Express. Steven attended Cornerstone Baptist Church and loved riding his Harley, but his greatest joy in life was his grandchildren.
Steven is survived by his wife, Donna; his daughters, Amanda Johnson and Stephanie Johnson; grandchildren, Abigale Johnson, Dylan Johnson and Andrew Cobb; mother, Opal Ilene Johnson; brother, Jack Johnson; and his sisters, Rose Claar and Lorraine Patnaude. He was preceded in death by his father, Rex “Johnny” Johnson.

Words cannot express how sorry I am to hear about Steve's passing. I met him when we went to KC and he seemed like a very likable guy. The way the two of you joked with eachother was a real sign of your affection. On behalf of my family and your extended IPTA family, please accept our sincere prayers and condolences for your loss. Rose and I are so very sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I remember meeting Steve at Park Fair Mall when he'd stop in occasionally to see you. Hard to believe someone as active as Steve would pass on at such a relatively young age. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this very difficult time.
