Frances Faye "Frannie" Aldini

Frannie Aldini, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. She was born December 25, 1932 in Des Moines, Iowa to Oscar and Eva Anderson. Frannie married William “Pee Wee” Aldini on September 18, 1954 in Des Moines. She loved her family above all else and treasured time spent with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and made sure no one left her home hungry. Frannie accepted everyone, no matter what. She was a generous person, always putting others before herself. She enjoyed playing cards, especially pinochle and poker. Frannie was a very talented cake decorator specializing in wedding and birthday cakes. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Frannie is survived by her children, Billy (Tammy) Aldini, Dave (Lois Robbins) Aldini, Theresa (Skip) Hansen, and Jodi (Daniel) Zepeda; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Maxwell; sister-in-law, Theresa Anderson; and many other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pee Wee; parents, Oscar and Eva Anderson; and her siblings, Donald Anderson, Dorothy Foreman, and Gary Anderson.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2019 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines followed by a graveside service at 1 p.m. at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Food Bank of Iowa.
