Beatrice "Pat" Barton

Pat Barton, 73, was born on September 19, 1935 in Des Moines to Carroll and Irene (Exline) Cavender and passed away Sunday, October 26, 2008 in Des Moines.
Pat loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking and her time as owner of The Galley in Bondurant.
Pat is survived by her mother, Irene Cavender; sons, Chuck (Sandra) Barton of Altoona and Tom Barton of Altoona; daughters, Christy (Chris) Schuling of Bondurant, Karen Middleton of Altoona, and Kim Sigmund of Altoona; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Frances Warren of Oregon, Shirley Griffin of Arizona, Diane Hickle of Bondurant; and brother Bob Thomas of Des Moines; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Charles Barton and her father Carroll Cavender.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 30, 2008 at the Altoona Cemetery. Friends may visit with family from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th St. SW.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Legacy Bank in Bondurant for the Bondurant Fundraising Friends in loving memory of Pat.
