We are so sorry for your loss. Andy and Audrey were among my best friends growing up in Knoxville. Have many fond memories of playing in band(s) with both, and of running with Andy. Though our paths haven't crossed more recently, sounds like they weren't far away from one another either - it isn't surprising to hear that Andy kept growing in the things he loved.
Our family will keep yours in our prayers.

Suzanne and Sam, many of us at First Unitarian are holding you both in our hearts at this time when the shock is still settling in. Harvey and I will be out of town when the service takes place, so we will not get to wrap you in our arms, but please imagine that if you can. And I hope we will get to see you at a later time at church. With love and care, Ellen

Nancy and I extend our heartfelt sympathy to Suzanne, Sam and the Popson family. This is a painful loss for all of us who knew and loved Andy. One of the great joys of teaching is the experience of knowing wonderful young people like Andy, and Andy was definitely one of the special ones. A thinker. Independent. With an irreverent wit I enjoyed immensely. It is hard to believe he is gone so young. One of the worst things about teaching is the tragedy and the inevitability of such premature losses. I will miss knowing Andy is in a world in dire need of souls such as his. The world will miss Andy.
With love,
Greg and Nancy

Dearest Suzanne. We were heartbroken to hear about Andy. He was the kindest young man we have ever met. We loved him and you dearly. We have wanted to talk to you both so many times over the years, but didnt have your contact number. I wish so much that we had the words to ease the pain you, Sam and your whole family are going through. Love always, John and Jeannie

Andy always brought balance and perspective with him each time I saw him. I know there was great love there for Suzzane. He was always there to bring out her best, as well as their gorgeous Afghans.

Words may not suffice to express the heartfelt sorrow that I feel for the passing of your beloved Andy. His gentle
nature and humble spirit touch us all and he filled the shoes of how a man is measured.
("The Measure of a man: Not-"how did he die" But-"how did he live" Not-"what did he gain" But-"what did he give"
These are the units to measure the worth of a man, as a man, Regardless of birth." -Unknown author)
Andy will always be remembered, loved and cherish by all who knew him. My deepest condolences to Suzanne and Sam whom he loved,
adored, protected and cared for beyond measure. He is a treasure and he treasured all his family and friends. My heart weeps for us all.

Suzanne and Sam, I had the privilege of working with Andy on a handful of jobs. He was well respected and quite knowledgeable in the carpentry world. He always had his plans and ideas in order and was an outside the box thinker on tough projects. Jesus was a carpenter too, they will get along just fine watching over both of you. My condolences.

Suzanne and Sam,
I know there is not one word I can say that will ever make this okay but I want you to know you are loved and held dear. You and Andy supported me on some dark days and welcomed my family into your home with such warmth and kindness, always. I am here to support you if ever you need anything.
The world has lost an amazing man, Im so sorry for your loss.
