Irene was my neighbor at Carmen Estates, Des Moines. I moved out of state, but enjoyed visiting with her on occasion during the time I resided in the neighborhood. I'm so sorry for your loss.

My Aunt Irene was such a lovely woman and such a good sister to my dad. One of the most emotional moments of my life -- my dad's passing -- was shared with her. My dad "waited" for Irene to be in his hospice room so he could pass holding her hand. I love thinking of her reunited with him and their other siblings and their parents in heaven.

What a great neighbor and friend Irene was. She always had an open door, and neighbors enjoyed stopping by to visit. I missed her as soon as she moved away.
It just didn't seem the same without her.
