Marlene Kenoyer

Marlene G. Kenoyer, 69, died Friday, October 24, 2008 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. in Des Moines, with burial at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Marlene was born August 18, 1939 to Cornelia and Nicholas DeJong in Harvey, Iowa. She worked in the office and in sales for K-Mart for 42 years. She loved to work, that was her favorite hobby.
Marlene is survived by her loving husband Robert; her children: Sandy Taylor, Onah (Joe) Leaky, Larry (Peggy) Kenoyer, Peggy Kenoyer, and Robert Kenoyer III; her siblings: Donald (Judy) DeJong, Darlene Gray, Donna (Ray) Blevins, Alice (John) Wales, and Mary Lou (Howard) Ellis; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and her son Michael.
Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 27, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa in loving memory of Marlene.
