Anthony Formaro

Anthony John Formaro, 67, passed away at the Bright Kavanagh House on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 after battling cancer for several years. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8pm Friday at the funeral home.
Anthony was born April 18, 1941 in Des Moines to Irene and John Formaro. He worked for the Rock Island Railroad and retired from the Union Pacific Railroad. After retirement he worked for Prairie Meadows. Anthony was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting in his younger years. Anthony was an avid golfer. He was a hard worker. Anthony loved being with his family and friends.
Anthony is survived by his children, Terri Carroll (Don), Nick Formaro, Samantha Formaro, John Formaro, Tammy Polson and Jolynn King; his sister, Beverly Wessel (Tom), his brothers, Gary (Vicky) and Frank (Crystal)Formaro, 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Irene and his wife, Suzanne.
