Steven Woodford

Steven Dennis “Woody” Woodford, 60, died Monday, October 13, 2008 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center with his family by his side. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Steven was born November 1, 1947 to Steven and Virginia Woodford in Des Moines. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. and was a member of the Elks Lodge in Jefferson and the USBC Bowling Congress. Steven worked for the U. S. Post Office. He loved bowling, camping and gambling. Steven was an avid Elvis and Chicago Bears fan, but his greatest passion was his family.
Steven is survived by his wife, Sue; parents Steve and Virginia; sister, Deb (Adrian) Kouri; children, Todd (Jess), Sheri (Jim) and John (Vickie); grandchildren, Rachel, Ashley, Shawna, Haley, Tyler, Tony (Tam) and Dan (Abby); great grandson, Charlie; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
