Service Details
Lovie Canada, 84, passed away at home Monday, October 13, 2008. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2008 at Glendale Cemetery with Reverend Alex Crawford officiating.
Lovie was born April 20, 1924 in Camphill, Alabama to Lethern and Lula Pearl Canada. She was a member of Community Baptist Church and loved listening to gospel music. Lovie was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her beloved family.
Lovie is survived by her son, J.D. (Don-Nannette)Canada of Kansas City, Missouri; brothers, Redell (Pat) Canada of Des Moines and Loudis (Mary) Canada of Saginaw, Michigan; sister, Carrie Canada of Des Moines; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and nine brothers.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Lovie.

Dear Great Aunt Lovie,
I love you and will miss you dearly!! I grew up with you and I cherish every moment of it! I will miss the stories you use to tell me everyday about your only grandchild Antwan! Well now you'll get to watch over him in heaven... and my Aunt Gina too (that I miss so so much)! I'll never forget how you love to drink ice water and LOVE grandma's cooking (just like everyone else). You're the reason why I love hamburger and pork & beans.... I'll miss you so. My boys will miss you too, and you'll NEVER be forgotten. I love you Aunt Lovie!!
