Duane E. Higgins

Duane Higgins 77, died October 11, 2008 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa after a short illness. He was born on September 29, 1931 to LaVerne and Margaret Higgins in Smithland, Iowa.
He enjoyed Milwaukee’s Best, arguing, watching sports, racing and political news.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jerry and William; and a son, Michael. Duane is survived by his wife, Kathie; sons, Ed (Kim) and Robert (Patricia); his daughters, Marlene (James) Edwards, Karen, Jeri; Melody (Gary) Christensen, and daughter-in-law, Edwina; step-daughters, Sue (Mike) Entringer and Teresa Tibbs; 23 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren.
Private Graveside Services will be held at a later date.
