Herman McVey

Herman G. McVey, 85, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2008 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Monday, October 13, 2008 at Pine Hill Cemetery with military honors provided.
Herman was born May 7, 1923 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Herman R. and Gladys (Clayton) McVey. Herman was an Army Veteran, proudly serving his country in World War II.
Herman was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary; daughter, Virginia; and sisters, Delores and Vera. He is survived by his sons, Ron (Loretta) McVey, Doug (Rhonda) McVey and Brad (Conny) McVey; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Richard McVey and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown in loving memory of Herman. Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens is handling arrangements.
