Jordan A. Knapp

Jordan Andrew Knapp, 25, of Des Moines, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, peacefully surrounded by his family.
He was born May 25, 1993 in Des Moines, Iowa to Patrick and Shelly Knapp. He was born with Spina Bifida which made him a fighter in life. He loved TV and his iPad, and could always put a smile on your face.
Jordan is survived by his mother Shelly Knapp, stepmother Jamie Boley-Adams, brothers Brady, Hunter and Cayden Knapp, grandparents Pamela Eaton, Ralph (Laura) Eaton, and Andrew (Roberta) Knapp, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and beloved friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Patrick Knapp and grandparents Teri (Bob) Yaw.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, December 13 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, December 14, also at Hamilton’s, with burial at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Orilla, Iowa
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Jordan.

Jordan was my great nephew, since his Grandma Teri died I have had no news about Jordy (as Teri called him). Condolences to his family in Iowa, sorry for our loss in Tennessee.

I worked with Jordan while He was at ChildServe. He was an ornery smart teen that could challenge me. But He helped to CHANGE me. Have missed that smile. Loved Him and will remember Him always. Even with his disabilities He was A NORMAL TEENAGER.

Jordan was one of my students at Summit Middle School. I will always remember how smart he was how he would laugh really hard! What a wonderful kid! You were lucky to have in your life! Prayers to your family!
