Guy Gordon

Guy Gordon, 57, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018. He was born July 21, 1961 in Des Moines, Iowa to Larry and Sally Gordon. Guy graduated from Des Moines Tech High School and worked for Lowes and Pizza Hut. He enjoyed fishing, looking at the stars through his telescope, and was a Green Bay Packers fan. Guy was a very strong person who proved over and over again that he could do the things in life that were important to him.

Guy is survived by his wife of 32 years Diana, father Larry Gordon, several siblings, mother-in-law Goldie Ackley, and many other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Sally Gordon and his father-in-law Merritt “Nick” Ackley.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 5th at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. The family invites friends to continue to celebrate Guy’s life at his home following the visitation. Please contact Diana directly for details.
