Leta Dueland

Leta M. Dueland, 87, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at Valley View Village. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Friday at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7pm Thursday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home.
Leta was born February 3, 1921 in Plano, IA. to Flo and Clell Curtis.
She retired from Northwestern Bell as a accounting clerk after 31 years. Leta was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and the Telephone Pioneers.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Dueland, her daughter, Sandy Mitchell, her son-in-law, Dennis Organ; her siblings, Lettie McCarty, Eston Curtis, Dean Curtis and Dale Curtis. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Kay Organ, her son-in-law, Richard Mitchell, her sister, Leota Cooper, and brothers, Jamsie and Eugene Curtis.
