Chad Dale Stumpf, 35, passed away on Thursday September 18th at his home in Des Moines.
He was proud to serve his country as a U.S. Marine, and was currently a student at Grandview College.
He was preceded in death by his father Howard Dale Kellis and grandparents, Keith and Maxine Stumpf, and Sam and Wanda Kellis.
He is survived by his mother Sandy Stumpf and the joy of his life, daughter Karli Joy Graham, both of Boone, half-sister Kim (Jason) Kono of Altoona and life long special friend Debbie Wiand, along with numerous friends and relatives.
He will be cremated and visitation with the family will be Tuesday September 22, 2008 at 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will follow at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to his mother.

Chad was a student of mine at Grandview. He was hardworking and very focused. I enjoyed our conversations and loved his passion for learning. He brought a wealth of knowledge to me and to his classmates. He was in my class in the summer of 2007 and I so enjoyed him.
