Carroll “Dipper" E Johnson was born July 25, 1936, in Mount Ayr, Iowa, to Orlo and Esther Johnson. He passed away November 20, 2018, at Kavanaugh Hospice in Des Moines.
Carroll graduated from Mt. Ayr High School in 1954. He then joined the tire business for 25 years. He later joined Iowa Realty as a Realtor, where he retired after 20 years. He was the President of Iowa Tire Dealers Association, Des Moines Soap Box Derby, and a member of The Elks Lodge in West Des Moines.
Carroll is survived by his wife, Beverly Johnson; children, Pat (Ok Cha) Johnson, Debbie Shepard, Lesa (Roger) Courter, Mark (Natalie) Johnson, and John (Lisa) Johnson; brothers, Kenny Johnson and Theron (Marilyn) Johnson. Carroll has 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will take place Tuesday, November 27, 2018, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Elks Lodge #2752, 2060 NW 94th St in Clive. Family will do burial at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Carroll.

So sorry for your loss. I remember Carroll from family reunions. Great man.
