Phyllis D. Wheeler was born December 20, 1929, in Bangor, Maine and passed away November 19, 2018 in Des Moines, Iowa. She married James Wheeler of Des Moines. They had two sons, Mark and William, 4 grandchildren, Archie, Mark, Phyllis, and Jennifer; 8 great-grandchildren, Natalya, Vincent, Hendrix, Kashius, James, Markus, William and Miles. They know she will always be “The Best of the Best”.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 23, 2018, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. Burial will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to DMARC, in loving memory of Phyllis.

So sorry for your loss. She was the best of the best, and missed. Phyllis always had a smile and a hug. We will meet again sometime for lunch.

Phyllis truly was the Best of the Best. I had the privilege of doing her hair for over 30 yrs. . She was my favorite client and friend. I will miss dearly .
