Sondra, Rikki, & Jim:
Shocked & saddened of hearing of Johns passing. Not a week goes by that I dont recall those treasured times on the river, Clearwater Beach, and ski tournaments across the Midwest. You all were like family and John a little brother. So wish we had reconnected these last few years. God bless you all; youre in my heart and prayers. Gary R. Shields

I met John at Grace Church. Often he was assisting his good friend and mentor Pastor David Brown when he battled cancer himself. He was a giving man that loved his savior and would tell others about Him. I will miss our Wed.meals together at Grace, all our conversations, his stories and friendship. He is now rejoicing in the presence of his Lord.

I am glad I was able to call John a friend and co worker. He was always willing to out and and grab a drink or have lunch ... Some of my best memories at work were just sitting around and talking to John.

He was a good brother, uncle, and friend to us all. I still cant believe he is gone. Seems surreal as we had a little glimmer of hope the last few weeks. #cancersucks #RIP little bro. Dont take life for granted
