Rocky German
November 10, 2018
Rocky German, age 56, of Des Moines died unexpectedly at home on Saturday, November 10, 2018.
He was born September 4, 1962 in Harlan, Iowa, the son of Marilyn and Robert German. Rocky worked with directional drilling. Family was everything to him and his love for his grandson was immeasurable. He had a passion for fishing, ice fishing, camping, gardening, and canning – anything that involved the outdoors. He had a love/hate relationship with his pain in the butt dogs, Sophie and Sage German. Everywhere Rocky went, the dogs followed. Everywhere Rocky went, we all followed.
Those left to honor his memory include his sons, Justin and Levi German; grandson, Eli German; brothers, Rodney, Randy and Rusty German; and sister, Carla Beiltof.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marilyn and Robert German; and twin sisters at birth, Marla and Darla.

My condolences to you boys Justin and Levi. Your dad was a great guy. There are so many memories of fun times years ago. I seen him awhile back, maybe last year..... same old Rocky, sweet smile and a heart of gold! He sure loved you boys to the max and so proud of you. And being a grandpa....well super cool!
So sorry to hear of his passing. Dang, we consider ourselves "young", guess we just never know God's plan.
Heaven just received one special guy.
My heart goes out to you and you will be in my prayers.

One of my favorite people in the world is gone.
Completely heartbreaking.
He texted me a few weeks ago, when I was in Iowa. He invited me, and my grandson, to accompany him, and Eli, to a pumpkin patch, after hearing I was in town. I wish we could have made jt. He was always so thoughtful and gracious. Will miss him dearly.

So sorry to hear of Rockys passing. I always think of him when I look at the burning bush we planted out front of our house that he gave us! Many good times and memories! R.I.P Rocky!
