Joyce Burket

Joyce Burket was born September 27, 1970 in Philadelphia, PA, to William and Patricia Evans. She passed away November, 4, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center

Joyce graduated high school in St. Catherine’s, Ontario, Canada. She loved dogs and was an advocate for dog rescues. She enjoyed watching the T.V. show, Pitbull’s and Paroles, and spending time with her family.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Amanda (Zack Schwartz) Burket; parents, Pat Evans and William (Diana) Evans; sister, Linnet (Chris) Lynch; aunts, Marsha (Kent) Pearson, Marilyn (Brian) Carron, Carolyn (Russ) Lull and Jerilyn (Jim) Allen; uncle, Brad (Debbie) Evans; niece and nephew, Ashlin and Austin Lynch; cousins, Jennifer, Cindy, Leslie, Melissa, Emily, Lisa, Bobby, Marshall, Gene, and Michelle; and Joyce’s boyfriend, Brandon Bills. She is preceded in death by her cousin, Allison Pearson.

A visitation will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Westown Funeral Home, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines.

“My beautiful mother. I want to Thank you for raising me into the women I am today. Thank you for loving me and putting up with me. You are the strongest women I know. I’m so sorry for what happened to you. You deserved so much more. I really hope you didn’t leave us scared and I hope you knew you weren’t alone. I hope you felt everybody’s love. I love you so much, mommy. Rest in Peace. ?”
