David Kevin Hardie
October 31, 2018
David Kevin Hardie, son of David C. and Edith Hardie, was born on July 6, 1961 in Ames, Iowa. He passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at the age of 57.
Kevin worked as a General Manager for Burger King. But what he will be most known and remembered for is his love for his family. His love ran deeper than anything else, especially for his three grandchildren. Kevin was also the Green Bay Packers biggest fan.
When Kevin stopped living in the problem and began living in the answer, the problem went away. He used his experience to help others. He was a faithful servant to his family, his friends, his co-workers, and in the A.A. community.
Kevin is survived by his mother, Edith Hardie; daughter, Tanya (Josh) Heward; brothers, Jason Hardie and Brent (Sarah) Hardie; sister, Angela Hardie; grandchildren, Jax, Piper, and Sophie.
He was preceded in death by his father, David; and brother, Brian.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 9 to 10 am with the funeral service to follow at 10 am at Capitol City Church, 5990 NE 14th Street in Des Moines. David will be laid to rest at 12 pm at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Indianola. Please wear game jerseys to celebrate his life, unless it’s a Vikings or Bears jersey, you know better.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
And Kevin finished strong….
Memorial contributions may be directed to Powell Chemical Dependency Center in loving memory of Kevin.
