Berta (Bruce) Horsman, 96, of Des Moines passed away on October 30, 2018. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines with a gathering of family and friends prior at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Knoxville, Iowa.
Berta was married to the late Harry Horsman and is survived by her children, Mike and Sandy Horsman, Beth Hill, Pat and Josie Horsman, Sue Horsman, Jim and Brenda Horsman, Mary and Andy Kahl; grandchildren Josh, Aaron, Katie, Ryan and Colyn; great-grandchildren Ben, Emily, Wesley, Henry, Alexander, and Nell; along with numerous extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings.
Memorials can be made to Feeding America, St. Croix Hospice, and EveryStep Kavanagh. Due to allergies, please no flowers. Online condolences may be expressed at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.

I'm sorry to hear of the passing of your loved one, Mrs. Berta Bruce Horsman. May the "God of all comfort" help ease your pain. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) He has promised to reunite us with our loved ones by means of a resurrection. John 5:25-28, "....the hour is coming when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God....and come out to a resurrection of life."
