Carol Sue Weatherly, age 73, went to be with the Lord Friday, October 26, 2018, after a long battle with COPD. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. Sue was born April 30, 1945, in Des Moines, Iowa to Albert and Virginia (Scrivner) Sanders. She was baptized in January of 2018. She enjoyed cooking, baking, shopping, painting and cross stitch. She was an amazing wife, mom, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, grandma and friend. Family was her whole life and she cherished time spent with them.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Albert and Virginia Sanders; grandmother, Faye Curl; brother, Jim Sanders; and sister, Nancy Wailes. She leaves behind her husband, Harold (Bud) Weatherly; brother, Donald Sanders (Pat); sister, Kathy Keeney (Rick); sister-in-law, Norma Sanders; son, HL (Skip) Weatherly (Tammy); son, Rodney Weatherly (Sarah). She has 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and 1 on the way. We all love and will miss her so much.

A celebration of life will be held on November 4, 2018 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Iowa Veterans Home, 1301 Summit Drive, Marshalltown (Malloy Building, Copper Kettle Room).
