JoAnn Parker, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, October 22, 2018, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines, Iowa.

JoAnn was born June 16, 1941 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was the daughter of Wilfred and Lurine (Thoreson) McMahan. JoAnn was loved by everyone who knew her. She had a very kind and loving nature.

She is survived by her son Kevin Parker of Waterloo, Iowa, son Mike Parker and daughter-in-law Tonya Parker of Kirbyville, Missouri, granddaughter Madison Parker, grandson Michael Parker, great-granddaughter Scarlette Klock, sister Judy Waters of Urbandale, Iowa, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents Wilfred and Lurine McMahan, brother Jon McMahan and son Danny Parker.

JoAnn’s wishes were for cremation. Her urn will be buried at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Des Moines next to her son Danny.
