Judith (Judy) H. Lint, age 63 went to be with her Savior on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Judy, the daughter of John and Betty Mally was born on November 2, 1944. She grew up in Elkhart and attended North Polk Schools.
On December 16, 1961, she was united in marriage to Mel Lint. From that 40-year union they were blessed with 2 children: Marc and Susie. Mel and Judy were divorced in 2001.
Judy was extremely devoted to family and friends. She exemplified God’s goodness in generosity and in the kindness she showed to so many. Judy loved family activities and get togethers, spending time with her grandchildren, cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes and collecting Elvis memorabilia.
Judy was a member of the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, the Polk City Legion Auxiliary, serving as Vice-president, an avid supporter of Hospice of central Iowa, and an active member of the Birthday club for many years.
Left to cherish her memory are Judy’s children, Marc Lint and Susie Lint, both of Polk City; 3 grandchildren, Morgan Lint, Kolten Cope and Kaeden Cope; brothers, Jim (Norma) Ingram of Dewey, AZ, Gary (Judy) Ingram of Elkhart, IA and Paul (Karen) Mally of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Janice (Ron) Thompson of Medford, MN and brother-in-law, Jack Kinney of Truro, IA. She was the beloved “Aunt Judy” to several nieces and nephews and will be missed by many friends and extended family members.
Judy was preceded in death by sister, Carol Kinney and two infant daughters, Jill Renae and Julie Kay.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. September 24, 2008 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 1701 W. Jester Park Drive, Polk City. Family will visit with friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23 at the church. Family will also greet friends for one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church. Cremation will follow services with private burial of cremated remains at a later date.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa, Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church or to Judy’s family in her loving memory.
