Emily Huffy

A little soul winged its way to heaven, our mom has passed away and she will be missed by all. Emily G. Huffy, 95, passed away on October 18, 2018, at Bishop Drumm Care Center. She was born in Evanston, IL on September 22, 1923, to William and Emma Heydenaber.

Emily was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Emily is survived by her children, Don (Etta) Huffy, Mike (Linn) Huffy and Alan Huffy; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Huffy, Sr. and her parents.

A private urn burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

In the old days we would go golfing, 9 holes, took us all day. Took sack lunch and ate half way. We were good golfers!!!!! Always enjoyed your Mom. She will be missed

I am so sad to hearing of the passing of this wonderful woman. She will forever be remembered for her laughter and beautiful smile. She has instilled in me the love of words through her numerous games of scrabble that she played with all of us kids when we were small.
And of course, we can not forget her delicious jello salds and her pickled cucumbers! You will be dearly missed but will remain forever in our hearts.
May you rest in peace and in the loving arms of our father.

There are no words that can express how sorry we are to hear of your mothers passing. During this difficult moment, our thoughts and prayers are with you. I will always remember her calls for you to come home for lunch and supper! And I truly admire her for raising three fine and successful sons
