Lucy Yori

Lucy Yori 96, passed away peacefully Friday September 12, 2008 at Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:00 a.m. Monday, September 15, 2008 at All Saints Catholic Church in Des Moines. Burial will follow the service at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.
Lucy was born March 18, 1912 to Armida and Joseph Ballantini in Des Moines. She worked as a cook for the Saydel School District. She was a member of Vittoria Lodge and All Saints Catholic Church. She loved to cook, especially during the holidays where she would use family recipes from Italy. She also loved to sing, dance, and spend time with her family.
Lucy will be missed by her children: JoAnn Bianchi, Rita Cunconan, and Larry (Janet) Yori; her 12 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Victor; son in law, Robert Bianchi and four brothers. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 14, 2008 from 4-6 p.m. at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens with a vigil service at 6:00 pm.
Memorial contributions may be given to Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House.
