Carol F. Rogers

Rogers, Carol F. (Vater), 69, of Des Moines, IA, formerly of Westerly, RI, went to sleep in death Sept. 5, 2008. Born Nov. 23, 1939 in Boston, MA to William (1972) and Arlene (1966)Vater. She worked as a nurse most of her life but most valued her work as a Bible education teacher. Carol held on to the hope the Bible holds out: The wonderful hope of a resurrection—of awakening from death and living in Paradise on earth. Jesus Christ promised: “The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will . . . come out.” (John 5:28, 29.)
She is survived by her son, Mark (Vivian) Rogers, daughter, Laura (David) Zuercher, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sister, Arlene (Bill) Henderson and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, sister, Linda Ohanian
(1998), and brother, William Vater (1933) whom shared the same date of birth as she.
Memorial services will be Sept. 20, 2008, at 5 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah?s Witnesses,
170 Flanders Road, Mystic, CT 06355.
