Hazel Reimann

Hazel Marie Reimann died September 2, 2008 at her home in Des Moines. She was born and raised in Jefferson Township in Madison County on April 13, 1921. She grew up on the farm, was married and went to California and Washington State to work in defense plants during World War II. When she returned to Des Moines, she worked at Colonial Bakery and then spent 35 ½ years at Farm Bureau and retired. She loved garden and yard work.
She is survived by a sister Marguerite Burklund and niece Sheri Blough Neff.
She was preceded in death by her parents Emmiel and Nora Reimann; a brother, Jimmie and sister, Edna.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Saturday, September 6, 2008 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 15 Indianola Road with a Rosary service at 9:30 AM Saturday and burial following at Jefferson – Goar Cemetery near Van Meter. Memorial contributions may be made to Jefferson – Goar Cemetery Association. Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
