Patrick Fitzgibbon

Patrick A. Fitzgibbon, 60, died Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Kavanagh on Grand. Visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. The family would like to invite everyone to join them at Sambetti’s immediately after the visitation to celebrate Patrick’s life.
Patrick was born August 2, 1948 to Austin and Nellie Fitzgibbon in Des Moines and remained a life long resident. He was a self-employed car wholesaler until his retirement in 1997. Patrick was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs and New York Yankees fan.
Patrick is survived by the love of his life, Elaine Webb; his children, Marc Fitzgibbon of Washington DC and Patrick Schneider of Florida; his sisters, Elizabeth Dietz of Des Moines, Mary Caulk of Colorado, Nancy Kingsley of California, Joyce Glazer of California and Judy Bertrand of Norwalk; his brothers, Paul Fitzgibbon of Arizona , Bob Fitzgibbon of Delaware, Mike Fitzgibbon of Des Moines and John Fitzgibbon of Des Moines; grandchildren, Kayla Lee Schneider of Florida and George Maxwell Akes of Des Moines; and many nieces, nephews and special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Nellie Fitzgibbon; his sisters, Virginia Souders and Carole Weeks and his brother, Charles Fitzgibbon.
