Thomas Jones

Thomas A. Jones, 64, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be Thursday, 1:00 p.m., September 4, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Visitation will be Wednesday at 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
He worked for the Des Moines School System for 30 - plus years and was active in the AFSCME Local 2048. He enjoyed riding his motorcycles and raised and raced homing pigeons. He was a devoted family man to his sons and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Mary of 42 years; sons David (SueAnn), Dan (Michelle) Jones; grandchildren Michael, Amanda, Hayli, Emilee, Austin, Aidan; mother Lois Vivian Jones; brothers Mike, Jerry, and Don; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas H. Jones; and his sister Suzanne.
