Gloria Milligan

Gloria Jean Milligan, 79, of Carlisle, formerly of south Des Moines, died Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Gloria enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, fishing, gardening, and crafts. She will be remembered as a woman that lived for her family and friends. Gloria always tried to support, encourage, and motivate all her children. She was our Mom and we love her.
Gloria is survived by her children, Jack (Leenan) Milligan of Chattanooga, TN, Gary Milligan of Springfield, MO, Pam (Rob) West of Indianola, and Sue (Donny) Rubin of Carlisle; six grandchildren; sisters, Wanda (John) Wallace of Des Moines and Colleen Hoffa of Cedar Rapids; brother, Gerald (Deloris) Dunagan of West Des Moines; and a host of other family and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter “Jack” Milligan Jr.; and brother, Ernest “Duke” Dunagan.
