Dear Bob, Bob, Bill, Beth and Family,
It was with great sadness I arrived home yesterday and learned of Marge's death. My thoughts are with you all as I remember those wonderful days in Bowman Woods. From the first day when I learned there was a fellow Clarkie down the block, through all the good times and the sad times, we could always count on Marge to be right there along with us. May the memories of those times start to peek through the sadness you now feel.

I was so saddened to read of Marge's passing. The entire DeMeulenaere family (including Marge's mother) was such an important part of my daughter's life as she was growing up. I'm sure she felt like a member of your family in many ways. Please accept my sympathies on the loss of your wife, mother, and grandmother.

Bill, you have my deepest sympathy on the passing of your Mother.
One thing I learned when my Dad passed away three years ago is that there is no way for those who have not lost a parent to know how hard it is to go through.
My hope is that you will find strength in your family and friends in this difficult time.

Dear Beth,
I received the sad news today. I am so sorry. I met both of your parents when they visited you a couple of years ago. They are such nice people. I will be praying for your strength during this time. I have not lost my mother yet, so I can't say I know how you feel. I can only imagine.
God bless you and your family, dear.
Sincerely,
Martha

I was so saddened when I heard about your Mom, Bob. She was so kind each and every time I saw her, whether she was welcoming Jodi and I into your home in Cedar Rapids, or at those many UNI football games sitting there by the band. Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers at this time. I am so sorry for your loss...because I know what a big loss it is.
God Bless,

I'm a childhood friend of Marge's daughter, Beth. I remember well Marge in her Bowman Woods kitchen with the fans blowing her skirts as she prepared us an after shool snack. I remember watching Marge and Bob happily dance together in their living room and then teaching Beth and I how to do the two step. Marge always made me feel very welcome in her home - which was nice because my mother worked and I tended to be at the DeMeulenaere's a lot! Hers was the first makeup I played with and her home was where I spent my first sleepover. I remember so fondly so many things about your wife and mother and hope you find comfort in knowing that she did indeed touch so many people and she is remembered many years later for her kindness and warmth. My thoughts are with all of you. Sincerely, Stacey Baier

Bob and family: We are so sorry to read about Marge's death. We had heard at church that she was afflicted with cancer. You and your family were much beloved and respected at St. Pius X and in Cedar Rapids. Our profound sympathy goes to you, Bob, and your wonderful family. I know Marge, like you, take exceptional pride in family. All of you will be in our prayers and we in the choir will say a special prayer for Marge at practice next Wednesday night. God bless,
Helen and Dale, Cedar Rapids
