Patricia Dvorak

Patricia Nelle McIntosh Dvorak, 86, went home to be with the Lord on October 16, 2018 at Kavanagh House in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born March 17, 1932 in rural Polk County to Claude and Jessie (Mills) McIntosh.
Pat graduated from Bondurant High School in 1950. She married Vern Dvorak on June 13, 1952. Pat worked for Bell Telephone, Anderson Elementary in Bondurant, Broadlawns Medical Center, where she retired, Mercy Hospital and WIC. She was a beloved member of the Altoona Baptist Church. Pat was also a lifetime member of the Bondurant American Legion Auxiliary Unit #396.
Pat was the mother to three children Bob (Julie) Dvorak of Bondurant, Kathleen (Roger) Daley of Crescent City, CA, and Mary Dvorak-Leonard of Bondurant. She was the proud grandmother to 12 grandkids, Christopher (Sarah) Dvorak of Windsor, MO, William (Tiffany) Dvorak of Ankeny, Joseph Leonard of Des Moines, Jessie Leonard of Des Moines, Jacob Leonard of Ankeny, Adam (Danika) Dvorak of Altoona, Joshua Daley of Salem, OR, Lori Dvorak of Ankeny, Presley Dvorak of Bondurant, Jaclyn Daley of Crescent City, CA, John Daley of Crescent City, CA, Joy Daley of Crescent City, CA and four great-kids Kinsey and Alexander Dvorak, Vinny Dvorak, and Theo Dvorak.
Pat was the youngest of three siblings, Donald (Virginia) McIntosh of Des Moines and Dale (Mildred) McIntosh of Maxwell. She is survived by her brother Dale McIntosh, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
The visitation will be held on Friday, October 19th at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home from 4:00p.m – 8:00p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 20th at the Altoona Regular Baptist Church at 10:00a.m with the burial service at the Bondurant Cemetery. A lunch will follow back at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Deacon’s Fund at the Altoona Baptist Church.

I just found out this wonderful, beautiful, loving lady passed. Pat was my work mother at Broadlawns. We kept in touch every Christmas. I will always remember her as one of the sweetest people I have ever known.

I will always cherish the special visits and shopping trips to walmart here in crescent city. All discussions about the Bible, Baseball, Football, and A,B, C, games at our senior center table will never be abanded cause you started a tradition for us love and prayers to all who ever knew you
