Frank Bode

Frank Bode, 74, died Monday, August 25, 2008 at the Veteran’s Hospital in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Schaller Cemetery in Schaller, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Frank was born September 17, 1933 in Schaller, Iowa to Paul and Anna Bode. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as an arborist. Frank loved music, he could play any instrument and never had a lesson. He enjoyed spending time with his dog, Toby, fishing and going to garage sales. Frank was a member of the Professional Music Association of Iowa and Grace Church.
Frank is survived by his wife, Judy; sons, Wayne (Anna) Bode and Paul Myers; step-children, Enda Schultz, Joanie Brown and James Wilson, Jr.; brothers, Herb (Maxine) Bode, Reinhold (Marian) Bode and Ray (Leota) Bode; 11 grand children and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael and daughter, Brenda.
