George "Joe" Edward Losee III

George “Joe” Edward Losee III, son of George and Florence Losee, was born on January 2, 1949 in Des Moines. He passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at home at the age of 69.

George attended Des Moines Technical High School. He volunteered to serve his country in Vietnam. Following his discharge in 1969, he purchased his pride and joy, a 1969½ 440 six pack Super Bee. George was united in marriage to Sandi Hill on August 16, 1980 in Des Moines. He did lock and safe work for banks until his retirement in 2014. George loved spending time with his family, his pets and he also enjoyed working on and driving his classic muscle cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents. George is survived by his loving wife, Sandi; children, Joe (Amanda) Losee, Jenni (Becky Wilson) Losee and Jeff (Jennifer) Losee; grandchildren, Conner Kennelley, Kendra Losee, Liam Kennelley and Kolton Losee; and his step-sister, Pat.

A private family graveside service will be held at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter.

In lieu of flowers, cards can be sent to the home or memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
