Helen Marie Roby

Helen Marie Roby, 61, passed away in her home on October 2, 2018 in Des Moines, Iowa due to complications from many years of struggling with end stage renal disease.

Helen was born on February 19, 1957 in Des Moines, Iowa to her parents Robert and Patricia Roby.

Helen was a warm, kind soul whose love knew no bounds. She grew up and spent her life in and around the Des Moines area, attending Roosevelt High School. She was married for many years to her ex-husband Michael Baldus of Des Moines, Iowa with whom she remained lifelong friends. If Helen’s love for her children were a cup, it would be safe to say her cup runneth over.

Helen is survived by her daughter Kelsi Roby and son Jon Baldus of Des Moines, Iowa, as well as siblings, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and younger brother Allen Dean.

There will be a celebration of Helen’s life on October 6, 2018 from 1-4PM at Jerry Home’s Club House, 6065 Sheffield Circle, Johnston, Iowa 50131. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Helen’s life. In lieu of flowers, a memorial account has been set up at Great Western Bank under Helen’s name.
