Mary L. Boatwright Reams Moreland

Mary passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018, at Edencrest Green Meadows, Johnston, Iowa. She was born November 15, 1925, to Frederick (Gayle) Boatwright and Mary Bess Romans in Des Moines, Iowa.

Mary married Bill Reams on December 17, 1943. They were blessed with four children. Bill passed away on July 23, 1971. Mary married Clifford (Don) Moreland on December 31, 1972. Don passed away on December 16, 2010.

Mary was a homemaker for many years and also worked for Pioneer Hybrid. She enjoyed family and traveling.

Mary was preceded in death by her two husbands, her mother, father, a brother, and a daughter, Carolyn.

She is survived by daughters, Connie Winders and Nancy (Phil) Vanderah; son, Tom (Brenda) Reams; five grandchildren, Jeff (Emily) Winders, Jamie (Rick) Ross, Jen (Greg) Trimble, Vince (Beth) Vanderah, and Mindy Severs; nine great-grandchildren, Connor Winders, Kaylin (Trey) Thiele, Katie Severs, Abby Trimble, Samantha Severs, Emma Trimble, Nate Vanderah, Gwen Vanderah, and Maddie Vanderah; her step children, George (Kay) Moreland and Debbie (Ron) Roby; as well as her step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.

At Mary’s request, a private family service was held at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens. She was laid to rest at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
