Erik Frye

Erik R. Frye, 45, passed away September 20, 2018. He was born March 31, 1973, in Des Moines, to Ronald and Sharyn Frye.

Erik was a proud graduate of East High School, Class of 1991. He worked for the City of Des Moines in Public Works for many years. Erik enjoyed trips to the casino and many sports. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Erik is survived by his wife of 17 years, Tracy; son, Zack; mom, Sharyn; mother- and father-in-law, Pat and David; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his dad, Ronald and son, Derek.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at Hope Lutheran Church, 3857 E. 42nd Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines. Erik will be laid to rest at Pine Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society in loving memory of Erik.
