Kaylee Ellen Gilge, age 15, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018.
She was born December 29, 2002 in Des Moines, Iowa to Eric Gilge and Michelle Gilge. Kaylee had a big personality and loved being the center of attention. She was a sassy girl with a great sense of humor. Kaylee was Daddy’s Princess with Mom’s attitude. She loved her brothers and her friends and was supportive of everyone. She enjoyed softball and played in the Rider Club. She liked going shopping and looking nice. Kaylee loved to watch her brother EJ wrestle. She also loved to draw and read.
She is survived by her father, Eric Gilge; mother, Michelle Gilge; brothers, EJ Gilge, Keane Stutes and Shalan Ray, Jr.; grandparents, Judy Lucas, Jerry Gilge, and Sandie and Terry Stutes; many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
Kaylee was preceded in death by Papa Luke, aunt, Connie Gilge, and great-grandmas, Gilge, Vera, and O’Hern.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 19th, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 7075 Ashworth Road, West Des Moines. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 20th, also at the church, and will conclude with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, Des Moines.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Miss Kaylee.

I know Kayle from seeing her over the years from the many different wrestling tournaments that she was always at with her Dad and brother and also because she went to middle school with Asante. We send our deepest condolences to your family, you all are in our prayers and thoughts during this very difficult time. We are so sorry for your loss.

We are so sorry for your loss. Our prayers go out to you and your family. Kaylee was such a sweet girl, very particular about how she presented herself. We will remember her as she was at our house for Christmas.
