Scott.. So sorry to find this, today. Your mom had a joyful presence and a beautifully contagious spirit. In our day she was among the finest ambassadors for our East side.. AND East High! Wishing you peace and understanding at this difficult time. They taught us everything but how to live without them!

The East side is smaller today with the loss of Mary Alice. I met Mary Alice while working at Spizman's Grocery. I never saw her when she wasnt smiling. I carried groceries to her sisters home on Garfield and a couple times to her parents house on E 25th St. I later worked for and with her brother, Ed Kasner. Ed was always quick to talk about Mary Alice and her boys. She definitely played a role in my past. So sorry for your families loss. Remember the past and cherish your memories, I will of Mary Alice!

I worked with Mary Alice at Kmart. She was a joy to work with. She was full of so much joy and she loved to give hugs. My prayers are with her family during this time.
